Westwood One News is an in-house news network operated by Westwood One through its parent company Cumulus Media. It launched on January 1, 2015. ==About== Months after Cumulus acquired Westwood One, who in turn merged the now former Cumulus Media Networks, the radio network acquired exclusive content from CNN. The news division was created months before Cumulus' deal with ABC News Radio was set to expire by the end of 2014. It also replaced Westwood One's former NBC News Radio service previously distributed the former radio network of the same name, which was acquired by the current Westwood One network under the "Dial Global" name in 2012 and ironically replace its CNN Radio service. Unlike the ABC and CBS News networks (the latter distributed by Westwood One), this new "white-label" news service will for the first time enable local radio stations (mostly Cumulus-owned) to broadcast the latest national and international news acquired by CNN but branded with their own call letters, station names (if applicable), and station slogans instead of the "Westwood One" or "CNN" names.
